Round 3 Review

By Lord Gumby

REAL GUMBIES FC DREW WOODY’S BLOKES 8-8

SCORERS: Naveen Nadesan 4, Greg Potter 2, James Wong 1, Howie Leung 1

Review: We were so close and couldnt hang on. Very lively early on – and deserved our 3-0 and 6-3 lead. I was concerned once they started scoring as they would find their scoring touch which they did. Goal of the season so far from Naveen who took on 3 players and scored in the top corner. 8 goals is a good return, but we let through 8 so we just need to play well on defense and offense.

With Naveen hitting the post a few times, Greg missing two penalties, Craig gifting a penalty, a goal going right through my legs – theoretically we should have won. So don’t let the scoreline distract you – we played well today.

Conclusion: Its been a while since we scored 8 goals, so lets look at the positives and forget we drew the game.

Well I just wanted to make an official apology about the last goal, sorry dudes – restless nights for me this week, until I can get out there and redeem myself.

    Can’t wait till next week.

    BHS UNITED here we come.

haha… don’t lose sleep over it.
    everybody ball-watch at some stage.
It’s just that you had rotten luck that time.

I reckon its a good result.
    We should build on it.

If I remember correctly, BHS is a team where everybody’s average.
Average speed, decent skill. But they have a good movement off the ball.

  3. Lord Gumby Says:

We bent over for BHS last time and lost 7-3.

Im looking forward to playing them and getting some respect back.
